The Cottage (TSH)
Children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, family disruption or safety concerns find safe shelter at The Cottage, Wayfinder’s Therapeutic Shelter Homes (TSH) program. This program provides short‑term, community‑based, trauma‑informed residential care.
Working hand‑in‑hand with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, TSH delivers services in a family home-like setting that offer a therapeutic environment designed to minimize institutional impact. Through the use of trained caregivers and a trauma‑informed framework, children are supported in emotional regulation, safety, and stabilization as they heal and prepare for the next appropriate placement.

When we first met David, he was malnourished and homeless. He wasn't babbling, walking or eating solid foods like other 18-month-old children.
