Ashley Thomas

Ashley Thomas is the Director of Family Finding and Engagement Services, overseeing our Contra Costa Family Finding services while also providing supervisory oversight of our Placer Family Finding Program and Director oversight of our San Joaquin Family Finding program.

Ashley brings a deep commitment to strengthening families and supporting permanency efforts for children and youth. Throughout her 6 years with Wayfinder, she has demonstrated strong leadership, thoughtful decision-making, and dedication to collaboration across programs and counties. She has served as a Supervisor within our Family Finding programs and contributed her skills in our Specialty Mental Health program. She also brings additional experience in medical social work. Ashely understands both the clinical and operational components of this work and leads with integrity, accountability, creativity, and an infectious enthusiasm and energy.

Family Finding and Engagement Services play a critical role in ensuring that children and youth remain connected to supportive family and lifelong relationships. With Ashley’s leadership and partnership, we will continue to enhance our practice model, strengthen partnerships with our county and community stakeholders, and ensure high-quality, timely, and meaningful engagement and permanency with family. I am confident that she will continue to strengthen our impact.

Fun Fact: Ahsley has taken 4 years of sign language and loves anything .creative – especially realism drawings and refurbishing furniture.
