Meet Anita Siraki, Member of the Impact Council

Giving Back Means Everything

When she was asked to join Wayfinder’s Impact Council, a group of professionals who fundraise and raise awareness for Wayfinder, Anita knew she wanted to help make a difference in the lives of people facing great challenges.

“I had a very adversarial upbringing and faced many difficulties as a fully abled human being, so I know how difficult life can be,” says Anita, executive business partner to the CEO at BuildOps, a software company that serves commercial contractors. “Meeting people who’ve gone through Wayfinder’s programs and seeing how they’ve been accepted to university has been incredible.”

In her role on the Impact Council, Anita provides high-level introductions, raises funds, helps secure valuable in-kind donations and attends events like The Conversation. “Wayfinder basically sells itself,” she says. “I describe some of the services and programs we have and how the organization has expanded to help a wider population.”

As an advocate for Wayfinder, Anita is always looking for ways to make a difference for the children, youth, adults and families we serve. When she realized some good friends had a contact at the design company simplehuman, Anita helped secure a significant donation of home goods for Wayfinder families.

“Wayfinder has a very special part in my heart,” Anita adds. “I understand the impact and magnitude of Wayfinder’s place in the world, and to give back means everything.”

You can join Anita in helping to improve lives by making a donation or investing your time.
